Cynergy Bank (Designit)

2022 - 2023

Content design, UX writing

This was a major digital transformation initiative for Cynergy, who specialise in business and high net worth individuals.

I was onboarded by agency Designit as the content design lead for the design phase of the project. Alongside leading on content design decisions and writing all interface and notification copy, I spent a large chunk of my time working across scrum teams to figure out how ‘the words’ could help simplify complex processes for an international user base with high expectations.

Crucial to this project’s success was managing a multidisciplinary team of stakeholders - both client and agency side - across three key project strands: the new public-facing app, an upgraded online banking portal and an internal customer service portal. With several design squads involved at once, calendar management, setting clear goals and the ability to adapt to unexpected circumstances quickly were vital to my ability to work well in this role.

My involvement with the project ended with a full design system and prototype in place for the client, ready for in-house development. The app is now available for both iOS and Android as of May 2024.

“Kat was the perfect choice for our finance digital project, where she had to create the right tone of voice for the bank and engage for several months with different design squads to create or improve all the texts of several digital platforms (online banking, app, website and internal tools).

Throughout the project, Kat exhibited a remarkable degree of professionalism, demonstrating her strong copywriting abilities, presented new ideas to improve texts and workflows and connected extremely well with the whole team. Despite the fast-paced nature of the project, Kat always maintained a positive attitude and worked tirelessly to meet deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Her contributions were invaluable, and her work will leave a lasting impact on the bank’s platforms.”
